Project Overview

The Maple Terrace project involved comprehensive steel detailing for a multi-level structure integrating primary framing, architectural elements, and access systems. The project required detailed coordination across structural and architectural components, including curved canopy systems, bracing configurations, and multi-level circulation elements.

Structures Online (SOL) developed fabrication-ready 3D models and shop drawings, ensuring alignment, constructability, and seamless integration across complex connection zones and varying structural geometries.


Scope of Work

  • Primary Structural Steel Framework : The model includes detailed primary framing comprising columns, beams, and girders across multiple levels, with coordinated member positioning and connectivity for accurate fabrication and erection.

  •  Roof / Top Steel Framing : Roof-level steel framing features inclined members forming complex nodal intersections. Each joint was modeled with precise geometry to accommodate intricate connection conditions.

  • Architectural Canopy with Curved Members : A canopy structure incorporating curved beams with circular web openings was modeled with accurate profiles and alignment, ensuring integration with both structural and architectural elements.

  • Multi-Level Staircase System : Multi-storey stair assemblies including flights, landings, and support framing were detailed with accurate geometry and alignment across different levels.

  • Bracing System with Through Connections : Diagonal bracing members were modeled using through-type configurations, ensuring proper load paths and compatibility with primary structural members.

  • Complex Connection Zones : Highly congested areas with multiple member intersections were detailed with careful coordination of clearances, bolt layouts, and fabrication feasibility.

  • Cantilever and Peripheral Framing : Cantilevered and peripheral framing elements were modeled with proper extensions and connection detailing to maintain structural integrity and constructability.
