Project Description
Honor Health Stadium Creek – Peoria, Arizona
Location: Peoria, Arizona
General Contractor: Okland Construction Company
Project Type: Recreational – Stadium Facility
Scope: Steel Detailing for Structural Framing, Roof & Canopy Systems, Multi-Level Framing, Platforms, and Connection Assemblies (575 Tons)
Project Overview
The Honor Health Stadium Creek project involved comprehensive structural steel detailing for a large-scale recreational and stadium facility in Peoria, Arizona. The structural system incorporates extensive primary and secondary framing, long-span roof systems, architectural canopies, multi-level framing, and supporting steel components.
Structures Online (SOL) provided steel detailing and 3D modeling services for approximately 575 tons of structural steel. The detailing process focused on coordinating the facility's complex framing geometry while supporting constructability, fabrication, and efficient field erection.
Scope of Work
Primary Structural Framework : SOL developed the coordinated 3D model for the stadium's primary and secondary structural framing. Columns, beams, girders, and supporting members were modeled across multiple elevations to establish an accurate and fabrication-ready structural system.
Long-Span Roof & Canopy Framing : The project incorporated long-span roof framing and architectural canopy systems with distinctive sloped and cantilevered geometry, visible in the model images on page 2. These elements required careful coordination of member alignment and interfaces with the surrounding structural framework.
Multi-Level Framing & Deck Support : Floor support systems, elevated framing, platforms, and interior openings were coordinated throughout the facility. The 3D model helped maintain accurate member placement and alignment between the different structural elevations.
Roof Framing & Structural Integration : The extensive roof structure shown in the page 3 model views incorporates closely spaced framing members integrated with the perimeter and supporting structural systems. SOL coordinated these framing zones within the overall model to maintain geometry and connection interfaces.
Fabrication & Erection Coordination : The structural model was developed with fabrication and field installation requirements in mind. Member connections, assembly conditions, and structural interfaces were coordinated to support shop drawing production, fabrication, erection sequencing, and accurate field placement.
Key Deliverables
Detailed 3D structural steel models
Shop and fabrication drawings for structural steel components
Coordinated detailing for long-span roof and canopy systems
Multi-level floor, platform, and deck-support framing
Connection and assembly coordination supporting fabrication and field erection
Project Outcome
Through precise 3D modeling and coordinated structural steel detailing, Structures Online supported the execution of the Honor Health Stadium Creek project. The 575-ton steel scope demonstrates SOL's capabilities in large-scale recreational facilities, long-span roof and canopy framing, multi-level structural coordination, and constructability-focused steel detailing, providing fabrication-ready information to support efficient project delivery.
