Project Overview

The Grand Oaks Feeder 7, 8, 9 Campus project involved comprehensive steel detailing for a large-scale educational facility with an extensive structural footprint. The structure integrates repetitive framing systems with localized complexity, including curved architectural elements and varied support conditions.

Structures Online (SOL) delivered detailed 3D models and fabrication-ready drawings, ensuring precise alignment, connection accuracy, and efficient coordination across all structural systems.


Scope of Work

  • Large-Scale Structural Framework : The project includes a dense grid of columns, primary girders, and secondary members spanning a wide footprint. The system was modeled with high repetition and coordinated alignment for fabrication and erection efficiency.

  • Bracing System Integration : Vertical and inclined bracing systems were detailed with gusset plates and bolted connections, ensuring structural stability and seamless integration within the framing grid.

  • Curved Beam / Arch Elements : Curved beam elements resembling arch-type profiles were modeled with precise geometry, segmentation, and connection interfaces to integrate with the primary structure.

  • Column and Support Conditions : Various column conditions, including vertical and inclined supports, were detailed with customized base connections and beam interfaces to accommodate structural variations.

  • Staircase with Curved Railing : Stair assemblies were detailed with stringers, treads, landings, and custom curved railing systems, ensuring smooth geometry and accessibility across levels.

  • Connection Detailing : All structural connections including shear tabs, end plates, gusset plates, and stiffeners were modeled with accurate bolt layouts and fabrication-ready detailing.
