Project Overview

American Furniture Warehouse is a large-scale distribution facility designed to support high-volume storage, inventory management, and logistics operations. The project required extensive structural steel coordination to accommodate large clear spans, high-clearance spaces, and efficient operational flow throughout the warehouse.

Structures Online (SOL)provided comprehensive steel detailing services for approximately 431 tons of structural steel, delivering detailed 3D models and fabrication-ready drawings. The project required precise coordination between primary framing systems, roof structures, and access components to ensure efficient fabrication and seamless field erection.

Scope of Work

Primary Structural Framework :

The primary structural system consists of columns, girders, and beams designed to support the large warehouse footprint and open interior spaces. Member alignment, elevations, and connection interfaces were carefully coordinated to ensure fabrication accuracy and efficient site installation.

Roof and Overhead Framing Systems :

An extensive roof framing network was developed to accommodate long-span structural requirements. Primary and secondary roof members were modeled with precise geometry and alignment to ensure constructability and smooth integration across all roof-level systems.

Access and Support Infrastructure :

The project included steel support systems for internal access components, including stairways, elevated platforms, and operational support framing. These elements were integrated within the primary structure to maintain accessibility, functionality, and coordination throughout the facility.

Connection Detailing for Fabrication :

All structural connections were developed with detailed bolt layouts, weld requirements, and connection assemblies to support fabrication accuracy and efficient field installation. Connection interfaces were fully coordinated within the 3D model to ensure a reliable and constructible structural system.
